"Caminhar oblíquo", "Depois da estrada" and "Viagem maior" are a series of books in which Duarte Belo and João Abreu crossed the Portuguese territory following three different paths.
These journeys are recorded as photographic and written journals, in which the authors share their impressions of the land, cities, people and their own experience as travellers.

"Depois da estrada" draws a line in the middle of the country, from north to south. The book is divided in four chapters, representing the same journey through different views: handwritten notes, photography diptychs, text with photography and maps.
"Caminhar oblíquo" follows the journey of Duarte Belo across 530 kilometres from the furthest eastern corner of Portugal - Penedo Durão - all the way to the further western edge of the country - Cabo da Roca.
"Viagem maior" draws a 6000km labyrinth throughout the whole country, crossing cities, villages, mountains and coastal areas. This book combines Duarte Belo's topographic descriptions and photography archive with the contemporary records of João Abreu in the same territory.
