for Planeta Tangerina and Câmara Municipal de Serpa
Since 2015, the Serpa International Award for Picturebooks has been encouraging authors all over the world to create new picturebooks, with an aim to develop the literary and artistic quality of this medium.
As the Award gained more recognition, the organisers felt the need for it to have an independent digital presence. Together with Planeta Tangerina, we created a digital strategy, which included a new website and social media plan.
Being an award for picturebooks, it was important that illustration would have a strong presence across all pages, while also assuring that all imagery could be easily adapted to match the latest edition's identity.
Responsiveness was one of our main focusses, so we made sure every page worked seamlessly on all devices.
Aside from information about the current edition, we also included an archive section with the results from the previous editions. Here we focussed on the winner projects, authors and also included a space for honourable mentions.
With the submissions open during 6 months, we had to plan a long-term social media strategy across this period. We focussed on showing important information about the award, as well as a wide variety of visual content for posts and stories.
The digital contents included a promotional video, where we expanded the meaning of poster with an animated storyline.
