Aberta is a creative shared studio space, home to artists and designers based in Lisbon. The name 'Aberta' translates to 'Open' and is based on the welcoming friendly spirit of the studio. Their dynamism, energy and diversity was translated into a lively versatile visual identity.
The identity was highly inspired by the studio atmosphere, but also by its architecture. The symbol is based on the floor-plan shape of the studio, which also resembles its initial A; whereas the colours are based on the architectural complex where the studio lives, in the heart of Lisbon's historical center.
We've also included a collection of illustrations inspired by the objects in the room. These illustrations can be used on compositions for their communication materials and they can also be combined with the main logo to expand its meaning.
More than just a shared workspace, Aberta Studio is also home to a dynamic and diverse agenda. We've continued to collaborate in their digital communication, creating images for promoting their events, workshops and meet ups.
